Data Springs Modules Community Questions & Answers

Column and row values

Could someone provide a simple explanation how columns and rows work with form labels and fields, especially where multiple fields are involved. It seems if I set a column or value, the form field aligns itself left and other fields go someplace else. I've played around for hours and I can't tell how the form is laid out. Thanks.

Values are providing us really best of the good and intersection from the different of the values about the column and rows. We can use these lines in the test of the common sense then on the essayshark scam we will upgrade the values about the explanations around fields.

Hello Collin,

Are you using Dynamic Forms 5.0? Or a previous version?

Rows and Columns in a Dynamic Form behave similarly to HTML table rows and cells.

When using Colspan in HTML tables, if you over step or under provide the right amount of Columns, then the Row's content will be pushed outward or inward. Same is true with Rowspan in HTML tables, except the issue will be vertical rather than horizontal.

In Dynamic Forms you can typically expect a Question(Label and Field control) to consume 4 columns. I notice that if I want a field to extend the entire length of the row, I typically set the colspan under Question look & feel to 5.

If changing a Question's colspan pushes all other Questions out of uniform alignment, you can imagine that the label is overstepping it's boundaries pushing all other Controls over a column. Similar to the illustration below:

Label 1: Control 1: Validation Message Place Holder
Label 2: Control 2: Validation Message Place Holder
Label 3: Control 3: Validation Message Place Holder
Label 4: Control 4: Validation Message Place Holder

Label 2 colspan is interfering with the overall table layout.

I hope this helps, let me know if you have any questions.
